Lion Rock Resources β€” Volney Assays Expected Soon

πŸ“Œ  Volney drill program assays expected soon

  • Lion Rock drilled 15 holes in its inaugural drill program at the Volney high-grade gold-lithium-tin project in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
  • Early core logs showed sulphide-bearing shear zones, quartz veining and strong alteration consistent with early surface high-grade gold sampling (up to 189.5 g/t Au).
  • Drilling has intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatites at multiple intervals, pegmatite zones that historically returned up to 3.6% Liβ‚‚O at surface (concentrate-grade lithium).

Note: this is an update to our recent interview with Lion Resources Executive Chairman, Nav Dhaliwal.

Lion Rock Resources (TSXV:ROAR | OTCQB: LRRIF) has confidently and swiftly moved from concept to execution in South Dakota’s Black Hills, building on the gold-and-lithium thesis outlined earlier this year.Β

Assays are pending and will be released as results come in; the core drill results are with SGS Denver for analysis. Based on what we know of current lab wait times, we would expect to see something from the company in the coming weeks.

The company’s first drill program at the Volney Project targeted structurally controlled gold mineralisation alongside spodumene-bearing pegmatites. Last month, Lion Rock announced that core logging confirmed quartz veining, sulphide mineralisation and strong alteration, consistent with historical surface sampling that returned gold grades of up to 14.0 g/t Au. Lithium remains a parallel focus, with drilling intersecting pegmatite zones analogous to surface samples grading up to 3.6% Liβ‚‚O.

We consider Lion Rock to be a company worth keeping a very close eye on. This could be an emerging lithium story or an emerging gold story. It could also be both. High-quality, multi-commodity projects are rare but highly prized.

Should the assays prove the existence of large, high-grade lithium and high-grade gold systems, the company may suddenly find itself driving in the fast lane. Fortunately, management and the senior technical talent have a robust track record driving at speed – taking multiple projects for concept to discovery and beyond. There is also the advantage of having easy site access to power, road and rail infrastructure, in addition to strong community and government support.

Funding and operational momentum

  • The company is well financed following a C$5.3M financing in Q3 2025.
  • Multiple gold and lithium targets defined by historic drilling, surface sampling and recent geophysics have been tested.
  • Assays are imminent.

Conclusion

Lion Rock Resources has moved from early fieldwork toward drill program execution and results flow. Drilling at Volney has encountered geological continuity and pegmatite intersections under historical surface gold and lithium anomalies, with assays imminent. Coupled with recent financing, the company is transitioning into a catalyst-driven phase.
